We are thrilled to bring this special event to our HR Professionals in Racine and Kenosha Counties and those who wear the HR hat in their organizations! It is our opportunity to connect with the teams in our community that have resources available to our businesses and our employees. We will also help them learn about SRKA.
This session will include:
Addresses by County Executives Samantha Kerkman (Kenosha) and Jonathan Delagrave (Racine) and their workforce development teams. In addition, there will be a presentation on the Fentanyl crisis in our our area. This is your chance to hear directly from them on issues that matter to you and your employees. This is not a political event. It is an event to help you understand the services provided in each county. Many of our members employ people who live in both counties so we wanted to be sure to include representatives from both areas.
In addition, there will be a Resource Fair. County Departments and Non-profit Agencies in Racine and Kenosha Counties are invited to have a booth for our HR professionals to visit.
A good example of an agency we hope to have represented is the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC). Each county has this service. How often do you have employees struggling to figure out what to do with aging parents (care, medical equipment, housing, etc.). This service is available at no cost and many people are unaware of it. There are many agencies such as this that we want you to learn about.
This is the planned Agenda:
10:30-11:45 - Resource fair/networking
11:30 – Lunch served
11:45 – Jane Kurylo introductions
12:00 – Samantha Kerkman
12:30 – Jonathan Delagrave
1:00 – Workforce Development (both counties)
1:30 – Fentanyl Crisis
2:00 – Adjourn
Bring cash - SRKA STORE will be open for business. Great opportunity to stock up on inexpensive gifts for your HR friends! Proceeds benefit the SHRM Foundation.
This session is pending for SHRM Professional Development Credits (PDCs) and pending for HRCI re-certification credits. Due to the nature of the event, we may not be able to obtain credits.
