Substance Use Disorders (SUDs) in the Workplace

You will leave with an increased understanding of:

  • What Substance Use Disorders (SUDs) look like in the workplace
  • How to appropriately discuss concerns about SUDs with employees
  • How to effectively use alcohol and other drugs (AOD) policies in order to keep good employees.

Guida Brown

Guida Brown, MS, SAC, is a Kenosha native who is also an experienced Human Resource professional. For the last 12 years, she has and continues to serve as the Executive Director of the Hope Council on Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse. One of her many accomplishments during this time is the implementation of direct biomarker drug testing, a great way to determine whether or not a person with an active SUD is working toward recovery.

SHRM Professional Development Credits (PDCs) and HRCI re-certification credits have been approved for this event.
