Mental Health in the Workplace
We will also be collecting clothing for Dress for Success as the Fountain Hall venue is the most convenient for handling your donations. Scroll down for details.
With the growth of mental health issues in the workplace coming to light as a result of generational shifts, a reduced stigma regarding the issue and other societal changes, human resource professionals need to ensure a full awareness of an employer’s obligations when addressing these issues in order to avoid the common and lesser-known compliance pitfalls.
We will review the better known employer obligations, including the ADA and the FMLA, but also the less-commonly stressed employer obligations such as the obligation to provide a safe workplace under OSHA and discuss how to balance what can sometimes feel like conflicting compliance obligations.
